Jesus bore our curse to bring us blessing!

1. In Christ we receive righteousness 11-12

Righteous = upholding perfect justice
Righteousness cannot be accomplished by our moral efforts! (James 2:10)
We must wholly depend on Jesus through faith! (Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:16-17)
God credits righteousness to us when we trust in Jesus. (Genesis 15:6, Galatians 3:6)

2. In Christ we receive redemption 13

No longer captive to sin, but set free to holy living!
No longer stuck in guilt, but fully forgiven! (Colossians 1:14)
Jesus paid the price to buy us out of sin and out of the curse! (1 Peter 2:24)

• He BECAME sin (2 Corinthians 5:21)
• He BECAME our curse (Galatians 3:13)

3. In Christ we receive the Spirit 14

The Holy Spirit is the vital sign of faith!

• God’s seal that identifies His own (Eph 1:13)
• God’s presence with the believer
• God’s power for righteous living
• God’s agent for perfecting us
