Prepare to Meet Your Maker (Genesis 1:1-2)
Humbly worship our awesome God!
- God is eternal
God has no beginning, no maker. He is self-existent!
God is infinite:
- Unlimited by time (eternal)
- Unlimited by space (omnipresent)
- Unlimited by ability (omnipotent)
- Unlimited by knowledge (omniscient)
- God is triune
Father (Isaiah 64:8), Son (Colossians 1:16), and Holy Spirit (Psalm 33:6) were present and active at creation!
The Trinity is three persons in one God.
Scripture is God’s self-revelation – especially in relation to His creation.
Progressive revelation – God reveals truth progressively throughout history.
- God is Creator
God spoke creation into existence! (Hebrews 11:3)
God actively created and actively sustains creation! (Isaiah 46:4, Colossians 1:17)
God demonstrates His plan, design, creativity, and sovereignty in His work!
Creation reveals God’s glory (Ps 19:1, power, and divine nature! (Rom 1:20)
