Spirit-Grown (Galatians 5:22-23)
The fruit of the Spirit is the character of Jesus!
Transformation is inside-out:
- from the roots of a relationship with God
- to the inward character
- to the outward expression of fruit.
Follow the Spirit’s leading to cultivate Jesus’ character!
- Empowered by the Spirit
The Holy Spirit actively works in believers to transform us to be more like Jesus!
- Leading (Galatians 5:18, 25)
- Convicting (John 16:8)
- Perfecting (Galatians 3:3)
- Using His sword, the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17)
- Pursued by believers
This character is also commanded in Scripture!
We need to cultivate our lives for growing in these qualities. (Matthew 13:18-23)
This fruit grows when we abide in Jesus. (John 15:4-5)
- Recognized by others
This fruit is a visible representation of Jesus in our lives! (Matthew 7:15-20)
Our relationships are the testing ground for demonstrating Christlike character!
