Philippians 1:8-11

Grow in love with your church!

1. Moved with longing
2. Shaped with value
3. Filled with fruit

We share together in the gospel (1:5) and in grace (1:7)!  (That’s fellowship!)
We look together for the “day of Christ” – when He returns for us (1:6, 10, 3:20)!
LOVE is the aim that we’re praying for and growing toward!

Grow in love with your church!

1. Moved with longing

People ought to be our heartbeat!
Love is BOTH commitment and affection!
Jesus has that same commitment and affection toward us!

2. Shaped with value

What is essential?  We must value what matters most!

We must be committed to one another!

• -Meeting together and serving one another
• -Growing together and loving one another

3. Filled with fruit

We should seek to grow in love, not fall in love.
Righteousness is a fruit of love – planted by the gospel (1:6) and grown in community (1:11)!
We must grow in love and love toward growth!
