Our ministry in 3 verbs:

Faithfully persuade people to pursue reconciliation!

  1. Receiving new purpose 13-15

Christ died to free us from living for ourselves!
We are motivated by:

  • God’s judgment 5:1-10
  • Fear of the Lord 5:11
  • Christ’s love 5:14
  • Christ’s death 5:15
  • Our transformation 5:17
  • We are entrusted 5:19
  • Christ’s great pursuit 5:21
  1. Receiving new identity 16-17

No longer see others from a worldly point of view!

  • Not Christ – He is the eternal Son of God!
  • Not ourselves – we are new creations!
  • Not anyone – what about their souls?

I am a reconciler because I am reconciled!
I am a persuader because I am persuaded!

  1. Receiving new hope 18-21

Wretched sinners like me are reconciled to Jesus, forgiven, and counted righteous!
This incredible hope moves us as ambassadors for Jesus!
We represent this hope to a lost, hurting, hopeless world around us.
Do you believe that God can save and change sinners?
