Abide = remain, dwell, last, endure

• Dependence on God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
• Union with Christ – us in Him, and Him in us!

Abide in Jesus for fruit-filled living!

1. Keeping Jesus’ commands

Recognize a total dependence on God and cling to Him!
When our desires are shaped by God’s Word in us, He gives abundantly!
Establish life in the pattern of obedience that overflows with joy!
Receive God’s love in trusting, fruitful obedience!

2. Loving one another

Jesus loves us as friends!
Jesus’ love is the standard for our love – laying down our lives for others!
We are chosen and placed by Jesus for His purpose of lasting fruit in us!
Are we shaped by and praying for His purposes?

3. Identifying with Jesus

How much do you want to be liked by the world?
We must stand for the name of Jesus… and we will be hated for it!
Bear witness about Jesus with the Holy Spirit, telling of life with Him!
We can have peace in the midst of the hatred! (John 14:27, 16:33)
