Incomprehensible Peace

Jesus is our peace.

  • Peace with God – no longer enemies (Romans 5:10, 1)
  • Personal peace – no more anxiety (Philippians 4:6-7)
  • Relational peace – no more division (Ephesians 2:14)

Wisdom is tangible and practical in the midst of my relationships!

Cultivate Jesus’ peace by the power of the Holy Spirit!

  1. Sympathetically consider others

Am I serving myself or others with my wisdom?
Instead of being the expert, seek to understand others!
People don’t care how much you know… until they know how much you care.
We demonstrate what matters by how we live relationally with others.

  1. Don’t battle others

What am I wanting (James 4:1-2)?  Is this worth the broken relationship?
God’s peace rules us (Colossians 3:15) and guards our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6-7).
When peace is broken, selfishness is underlying.  Look first for yours!
Self-seeking is false to the truth, and causes disorder!

  1. Build toward others

Peace involves giving God first place in our lives.
Take time to gently, carefully listen to others!
Don’t act with judgment, and don’t act deserving of judgment!
What are you sowing into others’ lives?
