Humbly confront your church family!

1. Genuinely care

Purge any prideful mindset! (Matthew 7:1-5, 18:1-4, 10)
Church family values each other enough to do the hard work!
Win the brother, not the argument!
Our motivation and purpose is restoration! (Galatians 6:1)

2. Compassionately pursue

This process is our pursuit of wandering, lost sheep! (Matthew 18:12-14)
We may need to involve a growing group who is FOR, not AGAINST, the sinning brother.
This pursuit demonstrates love for the brother, the church, the world, and Jesus!
Even discipline is a pursuit! (Proverbs 13:24, Hebrews 12:6, 10, 11)

3. Readily forgive

We who are forgiven much must forgive much! (Matthew 18:32-33)
Tolerating sin is sinful and arrogant!  (1 Corinthians 5:2)
Genuine fellowship involves regular repentance and regular forgiveness! (1 John 1:6-9)
Covering a multitude of sins involves:

• Love (1 Peter 4:8)
• Bringing back a wandering sinner (James 5:20)
