Remember God’s truth so you don’t stumble over His blessings!

1. Guidance amid opposition 1-15

Our worst opposition will be against God’s truth. (2 Timothy 3:1, 4:3–4)
Jesus does not leave us alone, but sent the Holy Spirit to help and guide us.
We also have opposition from the “ruler of this world.” (16:11, 12:31, 14:30)
The Holy Spirit will convict the world and glorify Jesus!

2. Joy amid sorrow 16-24

Joy is not painless, but far outweighs pain!
Joy is not fleeting, but anchors in Jesus!
Joy is not automatic, but rests in prayerful obedience!

3. Peace amid trouble 25-33

Trouble is inevitable in this world, because:

• Satan is the ruler
• The world hates Jesus

Peace is available in this world, because:

• Jesus has overcome the world
• God’s truth hides us in Jesus
